Paris-Roubaix women: images of Lotte Kopecky’s incredible sprint to win on the Vélodrome

At the end of the effort, Lotte Kopecky, obviously. The 28-year-old Belgian cyclist achieved an exceptional sprint this Saturday at the Roubaix Vélodrome to win the fourth edition of the Enfer du Nord. Big favorite, the reigning world champion, 2nd in 2022, held her place at the end of a deliciously close race.

After around thirty kilometers of joint breakaway, six of them entered the André-Pétrieux track. With the crème de la crème of the peloton there: the Dutch legend Mariane Voss, the Italian Elisa Balsamo, Ellen van Djik, Amber Kraak and Pfeiffer Georgi… and therefore Lotte Kopecky (SD Worx-Protime), fifth at 200m from the finish but the big winner of this superb finale. Balsamo (Lidl-Trek) and Georgi (dsm-firmenich PostNL) complete the podium.

Victoire Bertau, reigning French champion, finished 8th and first Tricolore. The local of the stage said she was super happy to “make top 10” at home.
