BASKETBALL – French basketball is having a good time this weekend. After the Villeneuve-d’Ascq players qualified for the Euroleague final a few hours earlier, Paris Basket won the Eurocup final this Friday, April 12.
With this victory (two rounds to zero, 89-81 this Friday evening) in a Franco-French final against Bourg-en-Bresse, the capital club gets its hands on its very first European trophy, only six years after its creation. A title which also offers him a ticket for the next Euroleague.
It is precisely under the eyes of the two highest leaders of the most prestigious continental competition, the former Serbian legend Dejan Bodiroga (president) and the Lithuanian Paulius Motiejunas (CEO), that the Parisians let their joy at joining the great world and to bring a second trophy, two months after the first (the Leaders Cup), to their young and ambitious club.
