Young Panamanian athletes accumulate 19 medals: seven gold, six silver and another six bronze
The representation of Panama in the Bolivarian Youth Games, which take place in Sucre, Bolivia) added two more gold medals this Friday in the regional competition, with triumphs in the disciplines of judo and wrestling, local media reported.
The Panama Olympic Committee reported this Friday that judo athlete Tobit Vergara won the gold medal in the -55kg. After passing the qualifying rounds and the semifinal, Vergara faced the Venezuelan Leonardo Ibáñez in the final, whom he defeated.
