In the continuation of the duel between Latvia and Turkey, the first numbers of the teams fought – Aļona Ostapenko (#10) beat Zejnepa Senmez (#159) with 2:6, 7:5 and 6:3.
Today, in the first game, our tennis player served until 0-40 and eventually lost (0:1), but won on the Turkish serve (1:1). In the fifth game, he held serve again (2:3) and then missed four break opportunities – 2:5. In the seventh set, Ostapenko remained at zero (2:5) and lost the first set.
In the second set, the Latvian tennis player broke Senmez’s serve (2:0), but the Turkish player immediately responded with the same. Ostapenko once again won the opponent’s game (4:2) and served to 5:2, but the opponent responded with three successes – 5:5. In the next game, Ostapenko won a set point and took it.
In the third set, the Latvian player took the lead (3:0), the Turk reached 3:3, but Ostapenko won the remaining games.

Alyona Ostapenko/Darya Semenistaya and Berfu Cengiz/Ipek Eza were announced for the decisive doubles match.
