Orlando Arcia led the Braves

Orlando Arcia was more than timely and Reynaldo López dominated to his heart’s content as the Atlanta Braves beat the Houston Astros 6-2 at Minute Maid Park.

The Dominican pitched 6.0 scoreless innings, in which he only received four hits, walked only one and struck out seven. While Orlando Arcia was in charge of the offense.

The Venezuelan infielder hit it to Hunter Brown in the second inning to open the scoring. The connection, which traveled 371 feet to left field, was his first homer of the season.

The 1-0 remained until the seventh when Arcia appeared again to add one more to the Braves’ tally, this time with a sacrifice fly.

The scoring opened in the ninth with a four-run cluster resulting from a pair of doubles by Luis Guillorme and Chadwick Tromp. The Astros were able to avoid a shutout with two runs in the ninth, but they could not avoid their 13th setback in 19 appearances.
