After two more defeats and a draw, the Orbit men’s badminton players achieved their first victory of this season at the end of March.
On March 14, the men played against Argus H2; an exciting match where the score was 22-24 no less than three times, and 19-21 once. The other games also went quite evenly. And yet at the end of the evening a score of 0-12 was on the board. Played well, but still didn’t score a point.
The away match against Maasshuttles H1 was then lost 8-4; Here too several exciting games, in which four points were achieved. Three days later, on March 21, the home game against the same team took place. Koen and substitute Gijs both won their matches. Kenzo lost his ankle. But the first double, by Kenzo and substitute Michiel, was also won. The score was 6-2, so a draw was already achieved. Because both last doubles ended the same, the final score was 8-4 and therefore…a win for the gentlemen of Orbit!
