Novak Djokovic continues making decisions about his teamand now it’s time for the physical section. After breaking up with his last two coaches, his communication staff and even with his physiotherapist who led him to glory, the Serbian has announced through his social networks that breaks his professional relationship with his physical trainer of his entire career, the Italian Marco Panichi.
About to turn 37 and when everyone could intuit that the environment of a legend of his sport like ‘Nole’ would be stable, the current world number 1 has taken a totally opposite and groundbreaking path.
It all started in March 2022 with the definitive departure of Marian Vajda, the coach who took him to the elite and who had not traveled with ‘Nole’ to the tournaments for months. Later, at the end of 2022, another of his closest men and his most trusted team, the Argentine, crossed the door. Ulises Badio, who was his physiotherapist ‘miracle’ in recent seasons and the great person responsible for recovering him from the injuries he suffered in previous seasons. After the end of the 2023 season, it was the turn of the part that carried his image off the track. He dispensed with his agent Edoardo Artaldi and his press chief Elena Cappelarowho no longer started the new season in Australia, promoting the Spanish tennis player Charly Gómez-Herrera to the position of team manager and assistant coach.

Thus, the structure of Djokovic’s team is as follows: Mark Madden is the agent; Charly Gómez-Herrera is team manager and assistant coach; Electra will help with Djokovic brand; Gebhard Phil-Gritsch is the physical trainer; and Miljan Amanovic and Claudio Zimaglia continue to be his physiotherapists. After skipping Madrid, the number one is expected to compete again next week in Rome.
