“No proven threat” of attack for PSG-Barça, assures government spokesperson

In response to threats made by the Islamic State, which called on its followers to attack the four stadiums affected this week by the Champions League, including the Parc des Princes, the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin announced Tuesday that the Security would be “considerably reinforced” during the PSG-Barça match. At a pre-match press conference, Parisian coach Luis Enrique said he was concerned about the terrorist threat hovering around this meeting.

“There is no proven threat, and this was recalled by the Minister of the Interior earlier in the Council of Ministers, but our caution and our responsibility remain at all times,” declared the door – government spokesperson Prisca Thevenot during the report of the council of ministers. The Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin spoke of a “clear threat”.
