Arrest warrant issued for Rashee Rice (Chiefs)

Eight charges. Aggravated assault, collision causing serious injury and six charges of collision causing injury. This is the total retained for the arrest warrant for Rashee Rice (WR, Chiefs) following the accident caused by the Kansas City receiver and another man with whom he was racing near Dallas.

The same charges were also brought against the second driver, who is 21 years old.

For the moment, police told ESPN that the two men have not been arrested. The two passengers who fled the scene of the accident will not be prosecuted.

Rice has already announced that he will take responsibility in this matter. Aggravated assault charges are, in theory, punishable by up to 20 years in prison. For the collision resulting in injuries he faces up to 10 years in prison. Both charges are considered felonies.

WFAA-TV reported that police also found marijuana in both cars, as well as credit cards, a check for $16,500, a diamond necklace and… a Chiefs game book.

Louis Rees-Zammit (Chiefs) wants to help with returns

Special teams are often a first step in finding a place on an NFL roster, especially for players arriving from another sport.

Louis Rees-Zammit, even being an international rugby player, will be no exception. He admitted it himself in the Rugby Pod. The first objective is returns.

“The new rules on engagement returns are a huge change,” he recalled. “That’s where my main role will be. So I have to fight to be in this position this year. »

For the rest, you will have to be patient. And studious.

“It’s all going to be about how quickly I can learn the playbook. Because we have a plan to put me in various positions. Coming out of the backfield as a runner, into the slot as a receiver. Just use me as much as possible and be creative with me. But I have to learn the playbook and find chemistry with all the players on offense so they can use me. »

Louis Rees-Zammit is only 23 years old. This gives him a little room to learn.

Magnifaïïïïïïïïïïïïïïïïïïïïïïïïïïïïï (well yeah, we work with M6): a 3rd helmet from 2025

Since 2022, NFL teams have been allowed to wear an alternative helmet during the season. From 2025, the possibilities will be even wider.

The league announced that teams will be able to add a third helmet to their rotation. This third helmet cannot be worn with the franchise’s classic outfit. It must be combined with a retro, alternative or color rush.

In 2023, twenty teams have used a second helmet.

Injuries

– Victim of a torn pectoral in Week 7 last season, Uchenna Nwosu (LB, Seahawks) assured at a press conference that he will be ready for the 2024 campaign. Author of 9.5 sacks in 2022, he managed 2 before getting injured in 2023.

– The news remains reassuring for Kool-Aid McKinstry (CB), a player expected in the first round of the Draft. Operated on a broken little toe in March, he was examined ahead of the Draft. According to NFL Media, everything is recovering properly, and McKinstry should be ready for the 2024 season.

Transactions

The main signatures of the day

  • Packers : Gemon Green (DB)
  • Ravens : Deonte Harty (WR/KR)
  • Steelers : Matthew Wright (K)

And bref

– Eric DeCosta (GM, Ravens) explained that Lamar Jackson (QB) watch videos of the receivers who present themselves in the Draft and will be able to give their opinion to the managers on the different possible choices. (BaltimoreRavens.com)

ESPN and the Manning brothers, this is a business that will last. The American channel announced a new contract with Omaha Productions until the end of the 2034 season. The agreement notably includes the “ManningCast”, a broadcast of the Monday evening game led by Peyton and Eli Manning, accompanied by guests.

Terrell Suggs (LB) was an aggressive player on the field with the Ravens. He may have been a little too outside of it. AZCentral reports the former Baltimore linebacker was arrested in Scottsdale Tuesday following an incident at a Starbucks drive-thru. The facts date back to March 10. Police say he is accused of threatening a man with a weapon. Suggs allegedly rammed the alleged victim’s vehicle while backing up in the queue. Although the vehicles were not damaged, an argument ensued, with insults from both sides, because when you’re a real guy, you don’t like your bumper being touched. Suggs allegedly responded to the insults by showing his gun, but not pointing it at the other man, before threatening to kill him and then leaving. On Tuesday, Suggs did a short stint in prison. He is now expected before a judge on April 25.

Aaron Rodgers (Jets) thought about the end. A little

Victim of a torn Achilles tendon, Aaron Rodgers (QB, Jets) quickly assured that his career would continue.

But there were a few moments of doubt.

“I really said to myself, ‘It’s over. We’re not coming back from this injury,’” Rodgers explained on the “I Can Fly” podcast. »

After a grandiose entrance onto the field, American flag in hand, Rodgers ended up falling.

“It was absolutely incredible, special, rich… And then it was one of the most terrible evenings of my life. […] But as bad as it was, and it was the biggest disappointment of my life, there were plenty of miracles afterward. »

Because Rodgers took the time to thank everyone who helped him come back. The next step will be spring training. And only American football.

Once rumored to be running mate for presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (independent), Rodgers confirmed he was among the finalists for the position. In the end, someone else was preferred.
