The New England Patriots have signed safety Kyle Dugger to a four-year contract, the NFL reported.Associated Press a person familiar with the matter, Sunday.
This person revealed the information on condition of anonymity because the agreement was not announced by the team.
The new pact includes a base salary of US$58 million, including $32.5 million guaranteed, and could earn Dugger up to $66 million.
Dugger was in uniform for all 17 Patriots games this past season. He had 71 tackles and two interceptions. The 28-year-old has nine interceptions and 343 combined tackles since being drafted in 2020.
The Patriots will begin a rebuild this year with a new head coach in Jerod Mayo. He replaces Bill Belichick, who led the club from 2000 to 2023.
