Monkey cries and Nazi salutes from Barcelona residents at the Parc des Princes: SOS Racisme et Sportitude file a complaint

SOS Racisme et Sportitude have decided to file a complaint. The two associations want justice to punish the two FC Barcelona supporters who committed unacceptable actions this Wednesday evening at the Parc des Princes.

In a video, they were seen imitating a monkey and making a Nazi salute. The scene took place during the quarter-final first leg of the Champions League between PSG and Barcelona (2-3).

The two individuals were arrested this Thursday morning by the police. In a press release, the two associations were satisfied: “SOS Racisme et Sportitude welcome the rapid reaction of the police headquarters and the opening of an investigation for apologizing for war crimes and public insult to racist character. The two associations are expecting a strong reaction from UEFA to this behavior which, although fortunately remaining marginal, remains too frequent in stadiums. »

Guillaume Traynard and Louis Ramuz will be the two lawyers responsible for defending the interests of the two associations. Dominique Sopo, the president of SOS Racisme, spoke: “Faced with such behavior, all the stakeholders concerned – justice, clubs, supporters associations, European football authorities – must all respond firmly.”

The president of Sportitude, Hermann Ebongue, also reacted: “The serious acts committed yesterday at the Parc des Princes by Barcelona supporters remind us if we still needed it that racism and anti-Semitism have not disappeared and the urgency to act. »
