The game began with a quick triple by Lizarraga for the local team, but after that the visiting team defended very hard and managed, with an agile midfield, to win it 3-10. One minute from Poi, and another bomb from Lizarraga with just over two minutes left opened Sportivo’s offensive, which ended up winning 14-10.
The second quarter continued with defenses at their limit, but it was GEPU that with a run of 7-11 tied it at 21. Once again the perimeter gave Sportivo the lead since with two triples from Vico and one from Braida the local team passed it to win 30-22, the largest difference in the game up to that point. GEPU continued fighting and through Borsatti and Marillán turned history around and took the first half 34-35.

Sportivo started the second half with a quick 8-0 run, to go on to win it 42-35, the San Luis team had no aim and the local defense suffered, which with Lizarraga and company took the period 53-43. The last quarter continued with low scoring, at some point the visit got within seven points, but quickly a couple of actions by Braida gave them the final victory 66-56.
Braida with 17 and Lizarraga 14 were the scorers for Sportivo Suardi, Borsatti with 22 the scorer of the match. With this result, Suardi took the lead 2-0 and was match-point. The third game will be next Thursday in San Luis.
