Robinson Canó, former Major League Baseball (MLB) superstar and winner of the 2013 World Baseball Classic, debuted with a monster home run.
The remainder of the opening weekend program will run through Sunday, April 14.

The regular season will end on Thursday, August 1. The First Playoff is scheduled for August 3-12. The Division Series will take place from August 13 to 22. The Championship Series of the two Divisions is scheduled from August 23 to September 1. The two champions will compete in the King Series best of seven from September 2 to 11.
LMB expanded to 20 teams in 2024. Querétaro Conspiradores joined the South Division, while Chihuahua Dorados will compete in the North Division
The Conspirators are based in Humilpan, in the metropolitan area of Querétaro. The new Conspiradores Stadium will be inaugurated on April 26. The expansion team will play the inaugural series against the Guerreros de Oaxaca at the Hermanos Serdán Stadium in Puebla. The club was founded in 2022.
The Dorados will be in the league for the fourth time. They played in 1940, from 1973 to 1981 and from 2007 to 2010. The Chihuahua Stadium, inaugurated in 2005, has capacity for 14,500 spectators.
After introducing a shot clock and limiting the break between innings in 2023 to two minutes, the league introduced new rules for the 2024 season. Blocking home plate will be prohibited, while the LMB will also prohibit defensive changes. Pitchers will be allowed to come off the plate only twice each at-bat.
