Masters Three Americans in the lead, Pavon 8th

In a day of rare difficulty at Augusta, three leaders emerged with the Americans Max Homa, Bryson DeChambeau and the favorite Scottie Scheffler (-6). Solid and diligent, Matthieu Pavon is only five shots from the lead, for his first Masters.

Rarely in this tournament have we seen so many players interrupt and resume their routine, sometimes on putts of a few tens of centimeters, getting up with each gust of wind like in the middle of a storm in Carnoustie. Except that unlike the British links at The Open, Augusta National and its slippery greens like ice rinks is not designed for this kind of test. Hence the sometimes hellish explosion of playing times.
