Our trainers Martin and Sascha had prepared intensively for this day for a year. On March 23rd, the Hessian Judo Association invited people to the Dan exam in the dojos of the HTG Bad Homburg. Judoka from all over Hesse took up the challenge and showed off their skills.
The Dan exam consists of several modules, each of which must be completed successfully. In addition to the kata, the traditional demonstration of throwing techniques in a strictly defined order, the candidates must master a variety of attack and defense techniques, counterattacks and combinations while standing and on the ground, and answer questions about training theory and biomechanics.
At the end of this strenuous day it was clear: Martin and Sascha had passed their first Dan exam and can now wear the black belt! Together with Norman, we now have three black belts in the coaching team of the Erzhausen Sports Association.
We congratulate Martin and Sascha on passing the exam and thank all the volunteers for organizing the exam event in Bad Homburg!
