Madrid residents will be able to play tennis… In the Plaza Mayor!

From April 22 to May 5 The Mutua Madrid Open 2024 will be held in the capital of Spain, undoubtedly one of the best tournaments in the world of sports and, for all of Spain, a source of pride and recognition worldwide. The best tennis players in the world will pass through the Caja Mágica for two weeks and fans will be able to enjoy stars such as Rafa Nadal, Carlos Alcaraz, Paula Badosa, Novak Djokovic, Sabalenka or Jannik Sinner.

While the tournament arrives, which of course will have complete coverage on Libertad Digital as in the last editions, Madrid is dedicating itself to one of its star projects and claims and, among other activities, you can play tennis… In the Plaza Elderly!

Last year in Plaza Colón it was already possible to reserve a court and the CEO of the tournament, Gerard Tsobanian considered this idea a resounding success in every sense: “This time we have chosen the Plaza Mayor for everything it means for the city, and also at a tourist level.”

How can you play in the Plaza Mayor? “Citizens who wish to do so may reserve a time to play on the court between April 6 and April 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. one-hour shifts at the price of one euro,” comments the statement. Where can you reserve? In the Playtomic app.
