Madeleine Malonga Chosen Over Audrey Tcheuméo for Paris 2024 Olympic Games

The Olympic vice-champion in 2021 in Tokyo should therefore participate in her second Olympics this summer in Paris, on the condition that the CNOSF validates her selection on April 12. Audrey Tcheuméo will therefore not experience a third Olympiad.

The battle between the two women raged to glean this remaining place in the – 78 kg, but the decision was undoubtedly made after the Grand Slam in Antalya in Turkey, where Madeleine Malonga won the gold medal. In Tbilisi, Georgia, Audrey Tcheuméo had only taken fifth place, a week earlier, and has still not made a podium since May 2023.

Women : Boukli (-48 kg), Buchard (-52 kg), Cysique (-57 kg), Agbégnénou (-63 kg), Gahié (-70 kg), Malonga (-78 kg, pending validation by CNOSF) and Dicko (+78 kg).

Men: Mkheidze (-60 kg), Khyar (-66 kg), Gaba (-73 kg), Djalo (-81 kg), N’Gayap-Hambou (-90 kg), Diesse (-100 kg), Riner (+100 kg).
