Los Angeles Dodgers Promote Cuban Talent Andy Pagés to Major Leagues

The Los Angeles Dodgers promoted Cuban Andy Pagés to the Major Leagues, who will finally receive the opportunity to play at the highest level after dazzling in the Minor Leagues.

The Dodgers have taken a bold step by calling up young Cuban talent Andy Pagés to the Major Leagues, as confirmed by sources close to the newspaper. Los Angeles Times.

Pagés’ rise to baseball’s biggest stage comes after a spectacular start in Triple-A affiliate Oklahoma City, where the 23-year-old slugger has been lighting up the scoreboards with an impressive .371 batting average.

Although according to the media, the talented outfielder was scheduled to make his debut in the Major Leagues this year, his call-up comes as a surprise after having played only 16 games in total in Triple-A in the last two seasons.

Additionally, his call-up comes just 10 months after surgery that threatened to end his season last year.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts was full of praise for the Cuban, who was highlighted as one of the biggest surprises during the team’s spring training.

“I think given what happened last year with the shoulder surgery and how he performed this spring, that’s been the biggest pleasant surprise,” Roberts said.

Andy Pagés is considered the team’s third-best overall prospect, according to MLB Pipeline, and his rise to the Major Leagues certainly adds a new dimension to the already talented Dodgers team.
