It was a sick Bayern Munich who traveled to London to do battle with Mikel Arteta’s troops. The Gunners attacked the game with full throttle, opening the scoring shortly before the quarter mark through the inevitable Bukayo Saka (12′) with a perfectly curled shot into Manuel Neuer’s side net. While Arsenal seemed to have control of the match, it was without counting on the two exceptional gestures of a Bavarian to allow his team to pick up the score then lead at the break.

Sané irresistible against the Gunners!

The German left-hander from this Bavarian team performed a high-flying first act. First to allow his people to return to the scoreboard. Taking advantage of an error in restarting the Arsenal defense, Leroy Sané grabs the ball and serves Leon Goretzka perfectly with a precise through ball. The latter also throws Serge Gnabry deep who, with a tackling strike, allows his team to equalize (18′).

Shortly after half an hour of play, Leroy Sané performed another brilliant action. Launched in a slalom within the Arsenal defense, the German winger managed to eliminate four opposing players before being mowed down in the English penalty area. The referee of the match did not procrastinate and designated the penalty point (32′). The inevitable Harry Kane takes care of it and allows his team to lead at half-time (1-2).
