LeBron James Jr., nicknamed Bronny, has decided to make himself available for the next NBA draft.

This is what the 19-year-old young man announced on his social networks on Friday.

“I have made the decision to go through the NBA draft process, while maintaining my college eligibility. I am also entering the NCAA transfer portal,” said James Jr.

The athlete will therefore only have spent one season with the Trojans of the University of Southern California (USC). If he is ignored at the next Silver circuit auction, the son of the legendary basketball player will find himself a new team in the NCAA.

James Jr. suffered a cardiac arrest last July. He collapsed on court during practice and was later diagnosed with a congenital heart defect that required surgery.

He was able to return to action with the Trojans in December. In 25 games, the Cleveland native averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.

“Thank you to USC for an incredible first year. I am grateful for the support of my family, my friends, doctors, physical trainers and supporters,” James Jr. also wrote.

LeBron James Sr., 39, has repeatedly said that he wants to play with his son in the NBA. It now remains to be seen whether the Los Angeles Lakers will select his eldest during the draft on June 26.
