LeBron James Dominates with Triple-Double in Regular Season Finale as Lakers Secure Play-In Spot.

NBA – LeBron James ended the regular season with a triple-double of 28 points, 17 assists, 11 rebounds and 5 steals!

The “Washed King” is still far from being washed! The Lakers needed a helping hand from their legend to overcome the Pelicans in the last game of the regular season, with 8th place in their sights. LeBron James therefore put on his superhero costume to guide the Californians to victory (108-124), with a new demonstration of force, confirming what we already knew: even at 39 years old the King is truly capable of everything and his thirst to win is still intact!

After sealing a new rebound record at the end of January with 20 catches against the Warriors, then releasing two 40-point games, including an outing in Brooklyn with an improbable 9/10 from a distance, this time it was on the last pass that LBJ shone, offering himself an XXL triple-double, his fifth of the season (the 112th of his career), with 28 points, 11 rebounds and therefore 17 assists, two units from his “career high”, without forget five interceptions!

Under his leadership, Darvin Ham’s troops marched on the Pelicans… who they will therefore find in the first round of the play-in.

“I just want to win. So it doesn’t matter what the game is going to demand of myself. I’m a Swiss Army knife, I have to be able to do everything on the ground, even if nothing is pre-established.” he declared after the meeting. “I have to read the game and find my teammates”, he added. “Just trying to find the target by sending the ball at the right time, whether it’s for a shot or to find a player near the circle. I just tried to be very efficient in the game.”

Golden LeBron

As in his great “post-Miami” Cavs era, LeBron James first got his team going before thinking about himself, in order to ensure that his teammates were confident. Which resulted in a first half with 13 assists and an opponent already overwhelmed, relegated to -17 at the break, and who never recovered.

“I always try to make an impact on the game every time I step on the pitch. The most important thing for me is that I have teammates who depend on me, who rely on me and who trust me in creating. I just try to do what’s necessary for them every night,”

he added .

Multi-dimensional, LeBron James will have once again amazed the gallery in addition to having put his entire team on his shoulders. A good omen for the next clash against the Pelicans, still in Louisiana, for the first round of the play-in, this Tuesday.

“Every match is different and has its own set of challenges. We could take a few things from tonight’s match, but at the end of the day, everything will be played between four lines again this Tuesday. We will have to come with the same intensity, be ready defensively, not lose the ball and get shots. If we can do it, we’ll be fine.”

And the Pelicans are already wondering what sauce they could be eaten with…
