La Nucía proposes National Technology Center for Combat Sports and National Combat Games

This Tuesday, La Nucía was the meeting point for the seven Spanish Combat Sports Federations (Fencing, Kickboxing, Karate, Judo, Taekwondo, Wrestling and Boxing). Precisely the objective of the meeting, which was attended by the municipality’s government team, was to study the implementation of a “National Technology Center for Combat Sports.” As well as analyzing the options of organizing National Combat Games in the same location, something completely innovative.

The presentation of this idea has also been attended by representatives of the Generalitat Valenciana, with its General Director, Luis Cervera, at the head, and the Deputy Director General of High Competition of the Higher Sports Council, Aitor Canibe. The political and sports enclave this Tuesday in “La Nucía, City of Sports” proposed the evaluation and technical validation of the project to analyze the possible spaces to be used in its facilities, as well as its possible location.

Thus, it has been proposed to dedicate more than 4,000 square meters to this center, which could be located at the entrance to the Camilo Cano Sports City. The Mayor of La Nucía, Bernabé Cano, indicated: “It is a significant milestone, we have the support of ADESP, the Federations involved and all public entities, CSD and Generalitat, and there is no center in Spain that complies with these features for all Combat Federations. In addition, we have also proposed the celebration of a historic event in our country such as a national Combat Games.”

For his part, José Hidalgo, President of ADESP, explained: “It is a project that is born from public and private collaboration, it is very unique because it absorbs the best of both areas, and aims to provide the Combat Federations with a common space. for the training and technicalization of athletes. And the fact that all the Combat Federations in our country want to make it a reality seems to me to be a very significant advance for Federated Sports.”
