Juwan Howard Joins Jordi Fernández’s Coaching Staff for New York Spaniards in the NBA

Jordi Fernández is already beginning to shape his team of assistants for his first experience as a head coach in the NBA. As Adrian Wojnarowski, a journalist from ESPNJuwan Howard has joined the coaching staff of the New Yorkers, whom he joins after ending his five years as coach of the University of Michigan.

Howard already has experience as an NBA assistant, since between 2013 and 2019 he was part of Erik Spoelstra’s assistant team at the Miami Heat. After this he made the jump to the NCAA, where he initially had relatively positive results by qualifying Michigan twice for March Madness, which even led to his name being slightly raised for some NBA bench. However, his last results were not so good, which led to his recent dismissal after finishing this last season with a record of 8-24.

Juwan will not only provide Jordi with experience on the bench, but also in the league, of which he was a part as a player for 19 seasons. In them, he played more than 1,000 games, scored more than 16,000 points and won two rings as a member of the Big-3 Heat’s wardrobe, so he has a lot behind him to try to help the coach. Spaniard to start his journey on the right foot.
