Julius Randle Undergoes Successful Surgery on Battered Shoulder, Out Until 2024-25 Season

Although we have known for days that Juluis Randle will not play again until the 2024-25 NBA season, it has not been until now that the interior player has undergone surgery to repair his battered right shoulder.

According to Ian Begley of SNYtv, it was this past Tuesday, April 9, when the surgery on the Knicks player’s joint was carried out, which would have ended with resounding success. In any case, the fact that he has done well does not reduce his time out, so the New York organization will reassess his condition in five months.

Wanting to help his teammates in the current campaign, Randle spent two months in rehabilitation to try to recover while avoiding surgery. What at first seemed like a good plan turned into error as the results did not arrive. Before New York officially announced that he would no longer play this season, the team’s own coach, Tom Thibodeau, explained that his pupil was not progressing as he wanted.

Looking ahead to the remainder of the 2023-24 campaign, the Knicks are third in the Western Conference and are one step away from certifying their qualification for the playoffs. It will be then that the fact of not having the 24 points, 9.2 rebounds and 5 assists that Randle averaged will surely be most noticeable.
