Judo Treviso Celebrates 65 Years with National Judo Event

Judo Treviso turns 65 and to celebrate this incredible and very long sporting adventure it has organized one of the three most important judo events that the Veneto Region will host this year on Saturday and Sunday 13 and 14 April at the PalaCicogna in Ponzano. In February the first stage of the junior senior national circuit took place in Conegliano, the third in June will be the Italian debutant and absolute championships scheduled in Jesolo, while on Saturday Judo Treviso, a historic society, will bring to the city, and precisely to the Palacicogna in Ponzano Veneto, the first national stage of the under 15 national circuit called Trofeo Italia. Mind-boggling numbers with 476 athletes for 142 teams from all over Italy. But so as not to leave anyone excluded, the traditional Trofeo della Marca Trevigiana will take place on Sunday, a race, in this edition, reserved for all other age groups not competing on Saturday. Also this year the Marca Trevigiana Trophy, now in its 15th edition, will be valid for the acquisition of the coveted black belt and higher Dan, as well as for the regional circuits reserved for very young people. 374 athletes expected for 93 teams. Ponzano will therefore be the capital of judo for a weekend thanks to the great organizational effort of the Treviso club of President Vincenzo De Carlo. An extraordinary success of memberships that goes hand in hand with a year that saw the Treviso club at the forefront not only on a sporting level, but also on an organizational level centered on the figure of maestro Alessandro Esposito.
