Joel Álvarez will not be able to be at UFC Vegas 91… due to a problem with his visa to enter the United States

In the absence of official confirmation, it seems that Joel Álvarez is left out of UFC Vegas 91. The fighter has not yet communicated anything, but several media outlets have already indicated that the UFC fighter will not be able to be at the event.

Apparently, the Asturian has once again had visa problems, which means he could not travel to the United States and face the Polish fighter Mateusz Rebecki. On April 27, therefore, it seems that we will not be able to see the Spaniard take to the octagon in Las Vegas.

Recurring problem

It is not the first time that the Asturian has had problems with his visa. Something similar happened a little over a year ago at UFC 284, an event that was held in Australia, and in which the Spaniard was going to face Zubaira Tukhugov. Likewise, almost three years ago Álvarez had a similar problem when he was scheduled to face Christos Giagos at UFC 262.

Not many details are still known but, given what we have seen, Álvarez’s problems with certain visas are recurring, something that could cause contractual problems with the UFC. In any case, UFC 304, which will apparently be held in Manchester, is not that far away and perhaps the Spaniard’s manager can reschedule the fight.
