Jiko No Kansei Judo Club takes second place in Federated Bi-Regional Championship

Eight gold medals, two silver and one bronze medal, second place in the overall tournament table

The Jiko No Kansei club from the Algarrobo commune, obtained second place in the Federated Bi-Regional Judo Championship, a competition organized by the Colchagua judo club in conjunction with the Judo Federation of Chile, an event that met last weekend. week to more than 150 athletes – from the regions of Valparaíso and O’ Higgins – in the city of San Fernando.

In the general table of the tournament, the club from the Algarrobo commune added eight gold medals, two silver and one bronze medal, (11 in total), placing itself in second place in the martial arts competition in both regions of the country.

“I want to congratulate the Jiko No Kansei Judo Club for their great participation in this championship. The development of sports is a constant challenge for the municipality of Algarrobo. Providing support and improving the facilities is among the priorities of this new municipal administration,” as highlighted by the mayor of Algarrobo, Marco Antonio González.

On the occasion, the importance of the results was highlighted, as it is an official championship, which provides points for the national ranking in the different categories. Additionally, the work carried out in the development of judo – at the communal, provincial and regional level – was highlighted, under the direction of technicians Crichna Cortés and Bryan Quezada, which has allowed these important results to be obtained.
