The long-awaited return of Conor McGregor to the UFC the June 29 contra Michael Chandler in Las Vegas. McGregor (22-6), 35, has not fought since July 10, 2021, when he broke his left tibia and fibula in a fight withDustin Poirier at UFC 264 in Las Vegas. The Irish’s last victory came on January 18, 2020, against Donald Cerrone.
Chandler’s (23-8) most recent fight was also against Poirier, with Chandler losing via submission on Nov. 12, 2022. Chandler, 37, signed with the UFC in 2020 after winning the lightweight championship three times. with the Bellator promotion.
