The fault lies with an error in calculating points by the International Federation which ultimately places them behind the pair Christo Popov and Toma Junior Popov. All for 29 points!
Regularly updated since the start of the Olympic race, the “Race to Paris” ranking set up in May 2023 has in fact been distorted since the first tournament in China. Other international players were penalized without as many consequences as for the two French people. Ronan Labar expressed his distress on RMC Sport on Thursday, speaking of an “earthquake”, an “explosion”. “I personally spent a sleepless night dwelling on this whole year, all the sacrifices we had to make,” said the player.

How could such an error be possible? How could it not have been rectified within a year? Because if the Popov brothers have won their place on the floors, Labar and Corvée have lost it in the offices. The International Federation has no choice but to send them to the Games as well.
