Swiss judo experienced a great moment: Fabienne Kocher and Binta Ndiaye faced each other for the first time in the final of a Grand Slam tournament in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan.
In the final fight of the class up to 52 kg, the 30-year-old Kocher prevailed against her compatriot, who was 11 years younger, and immediately became the first Swiss woman to win a tournament at Grand Slam level. The most important category after the Olympics and the World Championships.
With this victory, Kocher is only 80 points behind Ndiaye and is once again creating a lot of excitement in the race for the Olympics. Because each nation is only allowed to nominate one person per gender and weight class. (lob)
