Injured Dortmund Attacker Sébastien Haller Unavailable for 2-3 Weeks

No Haller

Borussia Dortmund cannot call on Sébastien Haller. The attacker is struggling with his left ankle again and will be unavailable for 2 to 3 weeks. His coach Edin Terzic confirmed this the day before the match.

The left ankle has been a source of concern for the Ivorian international for several months. He got fit in time to play in the Africa Cup with Ivory Coast and even scored the winning goal in the final.

However, he returned to Dortmund in mid-February with problems, where he limited himself to a few substitute appearances. Last Saturday against Gladbach was his first starting place since September.

But he soon had to endure a tackle on his painful joint, after 9 minutes he had to leave. “He will now receive complete rest for 1 week. A new diagnosis will follow on Saturday,” Terzic said.

Last week, Haller scored the important German goal in the first leg at Atletico, which won 2-1 against Dortmund.
