Huelva Prepares for Grand Final of Badminton Honor Division Club League

The Councilor for Sports and Youth of the Huelva City Council, María de la O Rubio; the president of the IES La Orden Badminton Club, María Eugenia Lorenzo; and Haideé Ojeda, IES La Orden player, presented this Wednesday the second leg of the grand final of the Badminton Honor Division Club League that will face the IES La Orden Badminton Club and the Rinconada Badminton Club (Seville).

As indicated by the City Council in a press release, the councilor has stressed that “once again Huelva, this weekend, will live as the capital of badminton at the national level.” The final of the Honor Division Club League will be played next Saturday, April 20, at the Andrés Estrada Sports Center starting at 4:50 p.m.

In this way, the IES La Orden Badminton Club is very close to repeating the title and adding the ninth in its history. After a duel that was decided at the last moment, IES La Orden beat Bádminton Rinconada 3-4 in the first leg. From the Huelva City Council, a call has been made to citizens to “accompany the IES La Orden Badminton Club, so that they feel well supported by us in a final that is going to be very hard-working and that, with luck and with all the work that what the players do, they will be able to win their ninth national title.

Likewise, the president of the IES La Orden Badminton Club has launched a petition to Huelva, and that is that “this year the final is more even than ever and the differentiating point is in the fans”, so she has asked “Huelva, the fans, who fill the Andrés Estada Sports Center next Saturday as they have done on many occasions.

For her part, player Haideé Ojeda has insisted that the match is not won and that the support of the public in the stands is essential to achieving victory. “At home we always play very well and we need the support of our fans who for us count as another member of the team,” she stressed.

Tickets for the grand final can be obtained through the IES La Orden club website and popular prices have been set to achieve the goal of filling the Andrés Estrada Sports Center. Children’s tickets cost three euros, while adult tickets cost five euros. In addition, through the same website, a great discount is offered, so tickets can be purchased for a symbolic value of two euros, so that attendees will be able to enjoy a sports day full of emotions.
