Hubert Hurkacz, Casper Ruud and Stefanos Tsitispas All three were able to leave the field as winners today and thus move into the round of 16 of the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Monte-Carlo. Tsitsipas will appear tomorrow Alexander Zverev and Hurkacz will welcome Ruud as an opponent.

Stefanos Tsitsipas had no problems at all today against his Argentine opponent Tomas Martin Etcheverry. Tsitsipas swept Etcheverry off the field with a score of 6:1 and 6:0. Sand simply suits the Greek better: Tsitsipas has been able to reach at least the round of 16 in every Masters 1000 tournament on clay since the beginning of 2021. In addition, the twelfth in the world rankings has already secured the title twice in Monte Carlo – in 2021 and 2022. Tomorrow’s game should therefore be exciting. The 25-year-old Greek will face Alexander Zverev, who took Sebastian Ofner out of the tournament in two sets yesterday and is fifth seed in the Masters.
Hurkacz went one round in two tight sentences – next stop: Casper Ruud
Hurkacz has had close matches in Monte Carlo this year. In the previous round, the Pole fought his way into the round of 16 in three sets. Today there weren’t three sentences, but there were two close sentences. In the end, Hurkacz dominated and defeated the Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut 7:5 and 7:6 (7:4). In the round of 16, the world number eight will meet the motivated Casper Ruud, who was able to end his match today with a confident 6:2 and 6:4 against Alejandro Tabilo.
