Hockey Game Delayed by Solar Glare: A Unique Turn of Events

Over the years we have seen matches delayed for multiple reasons. Broken bay windows are probably one of the most common reasons.

We also had power outages, objects thrown on the ice and quite simply irregularities on the ice surface.

Today, during the game between the Senators and the Capitals in Washington, goalie Joonas Korpisalo had to stop the game for a rather special reason. He had the sun in his eyes!

We often see this one in baseball but frankly it’s a first in hockey!
