The Tennessee Titans own a grand total of eight picks in the 2024 NFL draft, with at least one coming in each round but the third, and two coming in the seventh.
One of those picks comes at No. 146 overall, which is in the fifth round. The Titans received the pick as part of the Kevin Byard trade with the Philadelphia Eagles, who acquired it in the Jalen Reagor trade with Minnesota.
The franchise has held the pick twice in its history, with the Houston Oilers owning it in 1965 (OT Frank Fox) and 1975 (DE Jesse O’Neal). So, when Tennessee is on the clock in that spot later this month, it will be the first time in the Titans era.
While you wouldn’t expect much out of the history of such a late pick, there have actually been some very good to elite players taken in that spot over the last 20 years.
