Hélène Hendriks finds time between Thursday evening’s Europa League matches to briefly discuss with analysts Dick Advocaat and Wim Kieft who should become Ajax’s coach next season. The presenter then responds with wisdom that could have come from a tile when Kieft mentions Frank de Boer’s name.
Both Veronica analysts have no idea who currently has the best credentials to succeed John van ‘t Schip next summer. “It’s dead quiet in that respect,” Advocaat notes. “I don’t hear Louis (van Gaal, ed.), I don’t hear Danny Blind… Those are the people who know about it.” Van Gaal is currently an advisor to the Supervisory Board in Amsterdam, on which Blind has taken a seat to take care of the technical portfolio.

Kieft suspects that Frank de Boer could possibly come into the picture (again). The national coach of Curaçao agrees: “He has of course worked excellently there. If you become champion four times with a team, then you really have to be a good trainer,” Advocaat refers to the former defender’s previous period as head coach for the group was in Amsterdam. “But if you do what you did, you get what you got,” Hendriks then says. “I’ll have to think about that,” Advocaat responds, laughing, while Kieft remains silent. “Isn’t it beautiful? It rolled out straight away,” the presenter then adds.
