Handball record champion THW Kiel made a mistake in the small northern derby at HSV Hamburg and probably lost any remaining chance of second place and the Champions League qualification via the Bundesliga.

Kiel is fourth in the table, already nine points behind SC Magdeburg and even ten behind leaders Füchse Berlin, who have, however, played one game more.

Bergischer HC is threatened with relegation

The air in the table cellar is getting thinner and thinner for the Bergischer HC. After the 29:35 (16:19) at the Rhein-Neckar Löwen around national player Juni Knorr (ten goals), the gap to the saving bank is still five points with only six games left.

Hannover-Burgdorf wins in Leipzig

In the midfield duel between SC DHfK Leipzig and TSV Hannover-Burgdorf, Lower Saxony was slightly ahead. Hannover-Burgdorf prevailed over the Saxons with 27:26 (12:12). Hanover remains in seventh place, Leipzig is eighth, seven points behind Hanover.
