Hamburger SV: The dinosaur of all classes

My favorite colleague doesn’t give up. “There are still 15 points to be awarded,” he says, while the HSV logo on the digital desk of his laptop is already suspiciously fading away into the semi-darkness. This is the true Hanseatic attitude: to remain proud and unshakable. And isn’t he right? There are still five matchdays scheduled in the 2nd league, two of which involve HSV against their immediate competition, Kiel and St. Pauli. But it is also true: the Hamburg sports club, in fourth place, is already eight points away from a direct promotion spot. If you add the unfortunate goal difference, it’s basically nine. Even the unpopular relegation place is three or four points, because Fortuna from Düsseldorf am Rhein, who currently resides there, has a goal difference that is twice as good as the traditional club from the Elbe: 28:14. So a tie on points won’t be enough, for nothing.
