Three youths from the Haesol Class of the Youth After-School Academy at Yeongwol-gun Youth Training Center in Gangwon-do took on the challenge of the Youth Self-Prayer Award and won the bronze medal.

The Youth Self-Prayer Award is for youth ages 7 to 15 (1st grade of elementary school to 3rd grade of middle school) to achieve self-set goals in four activity areas selected from self-development, physical training, volunteer work, exploration activities, and career development activities. It is a self-growth program where you discover hidden talents and pursue your dreams as you progress.

Kim Byeol (15), Park Min-ah (14), and Ahn So-min (15), who belong to the Youth After-School Academy at the Yeongwol-gun Youth Training Center, have been holding the Youth Self-Prayer Awards Ceremony since 2023, and have participated in self-development (art activities) and physical training (badminton) as challenging activities. , volunteer work (plogging), exploration activity (trekking), and physical training (badminton) as an achievement activity were carried out consistently for a total of 16 weeks and were awarded the title of club leader.

Receiving the award as head of the district served as an opportunity for Haesol, an after-school youth academy at Yeongwol-gun Youth Training Center, to grow even further.

Haesol, a youth after-school academy at the Yeongwol-gun Youth Training Center, is operated with the support of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and Yeongwol-gun, and provides comprehensive services to youth in the first to third grades of middle school who need after-school care. We help young people grow healthy and form self-directed lifestyle habits through programs such as curriculum, self-development activities, experiential activities, and life support.

An official at the Yeongwol-gun Youth Training Center said, “Through the Youth Self-Prayer Award, youth were able to have valuable experiences discovering their potential and feeling a sense of accomplishment,” and added, “We will continue to support various programs for the growth and development of youth.”
