The Eagles have already been announced as the home team for the game, which will be the first NFL game played in Brazil, but their opponent was not known until today.
It will be the first game played on a Friday in the NFL’s opening schedule in more than 50 years.
The NFL already plays international games in England and Germany and could set its sights on Spain in 2025, with owners passing a resolution last fall requiring each team to play an international game every four years.
