Grant from Quebec Ministry of Education and URLS-CA Supports Physical Activity at Pavillon du coeur Beauce-Etchemin

The Pavillon du coeur Beauce-Etchemin announced, this Monday, April 15, that it had received financial assistance of $2,500 from the Quebec Ministry of Education and the Chaudière-Appalaches Regional Leisure and Sports Unit (URLS -THAT).

This amount will allow the organization to purchase sports equipment which will be made available to users of the Pavillon du coeur, in order to improve accessibility to leisure and sporting activities free of charge.

« We made this grant request to encourage the practice of physical and sporting activities among our customers. Since 2022, our members can rent our gymnasium for free during our opening hours to play badminton or pickleball. They will now be able to use the new badminton rackets and pickleball set. In addition, our customers will be able to borrow snowshoes and walking poles to move safely outside. », Mentioned Cindy Labbé, coordinator of the physical activity department at Pavillon du coeur Beauce-Etchemin.

This grant allowed the organization to purchase 19 pairs of snowshoes, five pairs of walking poles, four rackets and thirty badminton shuttlecocks with a net and four pickleball rackets.
