Germany: the jewel of Hugo Ekitike, again a scorer with Frankfurt against Bayern Munich

Will PSG regret it? Definitively becoming an Eintracht Frankfurt player on Friday after the German club exercised his purchase option, Hugo Ekitike confirmed that he has been in good shape in recent weeks. Scorer against Augsburg last weekend, the French striker stood out again this Saturday afternoon by scoring a high-class goal during the clash of the 31st day of the Bundesliga against Bayern Munich.

A few moments after Harry Kane opened the scoring, the former Parisian, found 20 meters away, mystified Thomas Müller with a subtle double contact before unleashing a tricky shot from the right to deceive Manuel Neuer.

Loaned this winter to Eintracht Frankfurt, Ekitike saw his purchase option of 16.5 million euros exercised by the German club. Recruited by PSG at Stade de Reims during the 2022 summer transfer window for 35 million euros, the 21-year-old offensive player has never managed to establish himself in the capital club. In difficulty for his debut with the 6th in the Bundesliga, with only one goal and one assist in his first twelve matches, the Champenois finally seems to have found his cruising speed across the Rhine.

“During his previous appearances, Hugo showed all his qualities. We are firmly convinced of his great potential and look forward to seeing him in the Eintracht jersey beyond the current season,” said sporting director Markus Krösche on the club’s website after the formalization of his transfer.
