The German flag flew this weekend over the town hall of Requeil. Lionel Martin, president of the Pontvallain-Visbek cantonal twinning committee, received with the municipality a delegation of three representatives from Visbek.
« Our German friends are in the process of putting together a team for their twinning committee. This meeting allows us to discuss and deepen, or even expand the twinning to other participants, for example judo, music, schools. » specifies Lionel Martin. Heike Meyer, who led the German delegation, is a French teacher, and therefore very sensitive to the integration of young people within the twinning.
The Pontvallain firefighters, who visited Germany last September, will in turn go to Visbek from October 3 to 6, 2024. A selection of footballers from the canton should also stay in Germany this year and play a tournament there.
