The Gereon Engineering New Black Panthers of Ronchi dei Legionari remained dry in the first round of the baseball series. The Bisiachi surrendered in Rovigo (against Itas Mutua) by 9 to 4 and 10 to 5. The panthers beat in total nine hits like the hosts, committing two errors. Hard-fought match, the guests held up well in defence, while they encountered some difficulties in attack. In the second match the Ronchesi appeared to suffer from the stoppage of the first match and immediately granted several opportunities to the Venetians.
