French team: Coman leaves with injury with Bayern Munich, his presence at the Euro threatened?

The weeks go by and the same for Kingsley Coman. Back two short weeks ago following a long knee injury which kept him away from the field and the French team for two months, the Bayern Munich winger was injured again against Cologne this Saturday, during the 29th day of the Bundesliga.

On a cross from Kimmich, the French international (55 caps) stopped short, placing his hand on his thigh, before going to the ground in the area just after returning from the locker room (47th). After the intervention of the trainers which lasted a few minutes, the former PSG player failed to place his right leg on the pitch and came out supported by the Munich staff to the applause of the Allianz Arena. He was replaced by Jamal Musiala.

With this new physical problem, Kingsley Coman’s presence at the Euro (June 14-July 14) could be compromised. The Blues staff also showed themselves, this Saturday evening, to be pessimistic about the presence of the winger in the list of 23 selected for the competition. In a press release published after the match, Bayern Munich mentioned their player’s injury and indicated that he would be absent for several weeks: “Coman will be absent from FC Bayern for several weeks. The offensive player suffered a muscle injury to his right adductor during the Bundesliga home match against 1. FC Köln on Saturday. This is the result of an examination carried out by the FC Bayern medical department. »

The 27-year-old player has often been kept away from the field due to his multiple physical problems: between the ankle (2018-2019), the knee (2019-2020, 2023-2024), the thigh (2020-2021, 2021-2022 ) or even the calf (2021-2022), he has often missed important deadlines for both club and selection. And gives Didier Deschamps a new headache.
