Associated with Thom Gicquel, from the Mulhouse club, Delphine Delrue, member of the Badminton club of Chambly-Oise, was crowned European champion in mixed doubles, Saturday April 13, in Saarbrücken (Germany).
In the final, the French pair who have been playing together for eight years, beat the Danes Mathias Christiansen and Alexandra Boje (21-16, 21-15). Historic victory since they are the first French people to win a European title!
Naturally, Delphine Delrue and Thom Gicquel will participate in the Paris Olympic Games which will be held at the Adidas Arena at Porte de la Chapelle, from July 27 to August 5.
