According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the federal prosecutor’s office has opened a file on the interists’ celebrations this Sunday and in particular for the sign displayed by Dumfries on which Hernandez was kept on a leash.

According to the journal sportif italien La Gazzetta dello Sport, Giuseppe Chinè, Italian prosecutor, collected a significant number of photos and videos to note a breach of article 4 of the Sports Justice Code. The latter obliges members (and therefore football players) to respect “loyalty, rectitude and probity”.

Faced with the provocations of the Nerazzurri, the federal prosecutor’s office therefore put together a file on the protagonists of the affair including the Dutchman Dumfries who had brandished a sign on which the player was holding his Milan rival, Théo Hernandez, on a leash.

This type of chambering is not new in Italy. AC Milan also received the same legal procedure in 2022 when several of its players allowed themselves to cheat Inter players.

Usually, the sanctions are financial for this type of slippage. Théo Hernandez, Sandro Tonali, Mike Maignan and Rade Krunic were fined between 4,000 euros and 5,000 euros for insulting songs and banners. AC Milan was fined 12,000 euros.
