Former Argentine footballer and current coach of Independiente, Carlos Tevez, was admitted to hospital tonight due to severe chest pain.
“Our coach, Carlos Tevez, went to the Sanatorio La Trinidad in San Isidro with chest pain where the necessary medical tests were carried out which gave a satisfactory outcome”, the Avellaneda club announced on social media, adding that today the Apache will be subjected to other tests that had already been prescribed as part of a general check-up.
It’s not a good time for the former Juventus striker who was harshly criticized after his team’s elimination last week in the quarter-finals of the Argentine League Cup.
A defeat that led the local press to speculate about his imminent farewell despite the fact that last December he renewed his contract until the end of 2026.
