FC Den Bosch Parts Ways with Head Coach Tomasz Kaczmarek

FC Den Bosch has informed head coach/coach Tomasz Kaczmarek that he no longer has to do any work for the people of Den Bosch until the end of the season. The German-Polish trainer has been employed by the first divisionist since April 10, 2023. Assistant coach William van Overbeek has been put forward as interim head coach. As of today, he will lead the training sessions and will be ultimately responsible for the group for the last five rounds in the Kitchen Champion Division.

Technical director FC Den Bosch Bernard Schuiteman: “I have the utmost respect for Tomasz and that is precisely why I wanted to be clear from the start that his future does not lie in Den Bosch. That has nothing to do with his qualities – they are beyond dispute – but everything to do with the direction the club wants to take. Tomasz has done a good job and many players have improved under his enthusiastic leadership. He also had an eye for players from the club’s youth academy. Ilias Boumassaoudi, Rhino Goutier, Mees Laros, Yannick Keijser, Rein Bluyssen and Rein van Hedel all made their debut under his leadership. But FC Den Bosch wants to take a different path with a different way of playing. In our opinion, a different type of head coach suits that style of play better. We want to use the remaining training and competitions to take the first steps in that direction. By shifting emphasis now, we gain insight into which players from the current selection suit that new system. Our thanks go to Tomasz. He has worked very hard for the club. Everyone at FC Den Bosch wishes him every success in his further career.”

Tomasz Kaczmarek: “First of all I would like to thank my players and staff for their work and their trust. I would also like to thank our supporters and office staff for their support and respect at a challenging time for the club. I’ve always appreciated that. When I came to FC Den Bosch at a very difficult time, I knew that we had to develop our players and performances to become a competitive team again. I enjoyed the hard work. It has grown our team and allows us to make things difficult for the best teams in the competition again. I am convinced that better results will follow. With the arrival of the new shareholders it was clear to me that there would be changes and a new approach. This is football. I am happy to end my time at the club with a win over Ajax and understand that it is best for us to say goodbye at this time. I wish the club and the new people success and strength in further building a proud FC Den Bosch.”
