Not really enthusiastic about the management of Luis Enrique since his arrival at PSG last summer, Daniel Riolo also regularly criticizes the Spanish coach’s communication regarding the future of Kylian Mbappé. And he even denounces certain lies on the part of the former Barça coach on this soap opera of the year at PSG.
Leader of Ligue 1 (with 12 points ahead of his runner-up), qualified for the final of the Coupe de France and still in contention in the Champions League, the PSG of Luis Enrique is present on all fronts. The Spanish coach, appointed last summer in place of Christophe Galtier, is therefore in the process of succeeding in its bet with the capital club. And yet, the management ofEnrique is far from unanimous among observers, particularly with regard to the uncertain situation of Kylian Mbappé at PSG.
“I don’t like lies and liars”
At the microphone of theAfter Foot on RMC Sport Thursday evening, Daniel Riolo even accused Luis Enrique to openly lie about Mbappé : “When people tell me that tactically Luis Enrique is a genius, I saw nothing of that kind. I can’t stand it being inflated even though it’s been there for six months. Plus the game isn’t crazy. And there’s something that makes me freak out: I don’t like lies and liars. Don’t let me believe that he suddenly changed his mind with Mbappé. I don’t like being taken for an idiot. And at a press conference, he pisses you off. PSG could have a coach who respects the public by speaking like Gasset or Haise,” believes Riolo.
“It’s not very smart”
He continues about Luis Enrique and its balance of power with Mbappé au PSG : “To say after seven months that I am the boss against the top scorer in the history of the club, I think it was not useful. Obviously he does what management tells him. The confusion continues. It’s not very smart.” The message got through…
